Changing the data aggregation type

You can change the data aggregation type in the Data Explorer and chart widgets in your dashboards

You can change the data aggregation type in the Data Explorer and chart widgets in your dashboards.

The different types of data aggregation are:

  • Average ('Avg Sensor Value')
  • Minimum value ('Min Sensor Value')
  • Maximum value ('Max Sensor Value')
  • Count of recorded values ('Event Count')
  • Sum ('Sum Sensor Value')
  • Standard deviation ('Standard Deviation')
  • First value recorded in the interval ('First Sensor Value')
  • Last value recorded in the interval ('Last Sensor Value')

Changing the data aggregation type in the Data Explorer:

Click on the 'edit' icon of a data point.

On the 'Settings' tab, click on 'DataType' and select one of the following options before clicking 'Save':

Changing the data aggregation type chart widgets in your dashboard:

Click on the Three dots icon on the top right of the widget as shown in the red frame in the image below and select Settings.

On the 'Data Source' tab, click on the sensor whose aggregation type you want to change.

Once you click on the sensor, you can select an aggregation type from the list.
